Grand Rogue Auto

Grand Rogue Auto is a roguelike set in a world that, as its name suggests, is inspired by the GTA saga. There is no predetermined plot as such, you can simply procedurally generate a city and sow chaos or do whatever you want. It is, in essence, a sandbox roguelike.

Generate the city of your choosing

One of Grand Rogue Auto's most fun aspects is that you can generate a completely new city every time you play. There are four different city modalities available. The Standard Mode offers the traditional experience, in a city with gangs of mobsters and cops. Police State Mode will generate a city full of police, where every time you kill someone a new police officer will appear. Gang War Mode, on the other hand, creates a lawless city without police. And finally, there is the Zombie Mode, in which all NPCs are undead.

Total freedom to do as you please

In Grand Rogue Auto you have absolute freedom to interact with any element of the city. Enter any building, buy and sell all kinds of objects and, of course, start a fight with any NPC you see on the street. Your actions allow you to upgrade your skills. Depending on which skills you use the most, you can improve your aim with weapons, or your expertise in picking locks, or your stealth. These skills will also greatly depend on the character class you choose when starting the game.

A novel and whacky roguelike

Download Grand Rogue Auto if you would prefer a roguelike with a modern setting, as it offers a radically different experience from the classics of the genre. The game allows you to play using a keyboard and mouse and has a very accessible user interface. What's more, although its development has been abandoned, you can create and install mods with ease.
